Starting with our 6-day AI Leadership camp, followed by ongoing mentorship.

AI Leadership Camp

For six days in April this is where we start, and where you take a deep-dive into AI. But it’s not just all AI all the time, you’ll be interacting with some of the smartest people in Australia about all aspects of a successful career.

Ambassadorship

You won’t be left to fend for yourself. Graduates from the camp will be invited into an ambassadorship where you’ll continue to receive career and technical guidance through local mentorship (where available) and collaborate with us and your peers on addressing gender bias in AI.

The program is focused on building a working understanding of AI and how it will power tomorrow’s economy, and equipping our attendees with the skills they need to help create a brighter future.

Participation in the program is Free. However, any cars, planes, trains and accommodation you need are not included in the camp.

We’re scouting Australia for talented individuals who are ready to think big. Who can attend the camp?

The camp is designed for female go-getters aged 16 to 26.

What can I expect to take out of the camp?

The camp will provide you with the tools to understand the opportunities with AI, how you can bring help transform your organisation, and most importantly to get started building your own AI-powered applications. The camp is heavily focused around collaboration with your peers and networking with mentors and successful leaders, and you should leave with plenty of new friends and colleagues after the camp.

Is the camp really for free?

Yes, the event is completely free of charge! Thanks to the support from our sponsors, we’ve made the event free of charge for attendees in order to keep the camp accessible to everyone.

Do I need to already know how to code?

Not at all. While a large portion of the camp will focus on coding, the camp is meant for everyone . We’ll be releasing learning resources to help you get ready for the camp and continue your learning journey once it finishes.

How many applicants will be accepted?

The 2018 camp will be accept up to 24 applicants, with the 2019 and 2020 camps accepting up to 150 applicants.

Are you accepting applicants from everywhere in Australia?

Yes, the program is open to applicants Australia-wide.

Where do I stay if I am travelling to the camp?

We recommend Airbnband local hotels/motels for out of town participants. We will be releasing a list of trusted accomodation partners and travel options to all attendees in early 2019.

What are the important dates to remember?

Applications are open and will close on March 17th 2019, with those accepted to be notified by March 22nd. The camp will take place for 6 days from Friday April 12th to Wednesday April 17th 2019.
