The Young Women Leaders in AI program will develop young women as leaders in AI, not only to address the gender gap in industry teams but also foster spokespersons to ensure social diversity has a voice as regulation and disruption unfolds in the coming years. Our participants will emerge from the program as ambassadors to take on leadership roles as a society and the economy transforms through AI adoption.

2020 Camp - POSTPONED
Our top priority is the well being of our participants, partners and organisers. We have been carefully monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation, and have sought the advice of senior government health officials regarding the appropriate management of large gatherings.
In the interest of ensuring the well being of all our participants, The Young Women Leaders in AI Program Management Committee has made the decision to postpone the 2020 camp until later in the year. This is inline with a number of large events being cancelled or postponed both locally and Internationally (eg. AWS Sydney, Geneva Motor Show, GDC ... )
We would like to ask you for your understanding and apologise for any inconveniences caused.
We are actively investigating options for alternative events and activities, and will communicate those details as soon as they are available.
In the meantime, we will continue to engage with our community through our Slack, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn channels.
The program commences with a 6-day camp, designed to teach attendees about building modern machine learnings, entrepreneurship and innovation, and how to succeed as a woman in the tech industry. Throughout the camp, attendees will work within groups to create and pitch an AI-powered product and engage with industry mentors and representatives to learn about opportunities available to them after the camp.
Following the camp, participants will enter a 12-month ambassadorship and mentorship program. Over these 12 months, there will be an opportunity to apply for internships or scholarships, attend local meetups, continue a mentee relationship and promote the value of young women leaders in AI. At the end of the 12-months, you will be in a position to move forward with your career in a confident and purposeful direction.
